Following the advice of the very talented Ron Ronsaikowski (FromTheWarp - really, check it out) I've decided to start painting inside out. This means that small recessed details (in this case eyes and flex-joints) are painted first.. This enables easy clean-up if mistakes are made... Below is half the squad with these details painted...
Next step is painting the base colour of the armour, a few thin layers of Macragge Blue, which creates a nice smooth surface...
Once all the dudes are painted its time to drybrush the bases and the continue to work on the details while also painting the guns...
